asked the Minister of Labour if any estimate has been made of the numbers of juveniles, within the age limits 14 to 18, who will be unemployed in 1936 and 1937?

Mr. HUDSON:

The numbers of boys and girls aged 14 to 18 available for employment will be substantially greater in 1936 and 1937 than the present numbers and this fact has, not unnaturally, led to fears of a corresponding increase in unemployment. Owing to the many uncertain factors, however, it is not possible to make any reliable estimate so far in advance.
