Part of the debate – in the House of Commons am ar 14 Mehefin 1933.
Mr Thomas Williams
, Don Valley
asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he can state the date when the Labour party offices in Malta were raided; the nature of the documents confiscated; and whether the secretary has been proceeded against and with what result?
Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
