asked the Minister of Transport whether he has yet received any proposals from the London and North Eastern Railway Company for the utilisation of their share of the capital value representing the gain in income by the repeal of the Railway Passenger Duty; whether these include any proposals for bringing the East Riding of Yorkshire and the County of Lincolnshire into direct railway communication either by a bridge over or a tunnel under the estuary of the Humber; and whether he will now give favourable consideration to this public work, in view of the fact that it was postponed previously owing to lack of funds?
