Separate statistics in respect of the age group 18 to 20 inclusive are available only from 9th July, 1928. The greatest number of persons aged 18 to 20 on the registers of Employment Exchanges in Great Britain since that date was 131,345 on 31st December, 1928, of whom 85,436 were males and 45,909 females. The lowest number recorded was 93,428 on 15th April, 1929, for which figures were issued to-day, of whom 61,797 were males and 31,631 females. I am unable to state the numbers aged 18, 19 and 20 respectively.
