asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the fact that boys under 16 years of age are employed in hairdressers' shops for 70 hours per week, he will grant facilities for the Report and Third Reading stages of the Hairdressers' Sunday Closing Bill, which would effect a reduction of five hours and upwards per week?

I have been asked to reply. The Government are not able to find time for facilities for this Bill.

May I ask whether the Government has taken into consideration the fact that an overwhelming majority of all parties in this House are anxious to see this Bill passed? It has passed the Second Reading and the Committee stage, and probably an hour after eleven o'clock at night would be sufficient?

I believe there are something like 50 Private Members' Bills before the House at the present time. The Government cannot find facilities for them, and they see no reason why special facilities should be given to this Bill, as against the other 49.
