asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury the number and total amounts during 1924 of Army, Navy, teachers, Civil Service and police pensions paid; the average age at retirement; and the average duration of the respective pensions?

I understood that these questions have been postponed by the hon. Member in whose name they stand.
As I have pointed out before, hon. Members must not ask questions on behalf of other Members unless they have been specifically requested so to do; and this is a further intimation to the House.
May I explain, Sir? My hon. Friend and I had an arrangement that he should put some questions for me last week, and that whenever he had any, and was away, I would put his for him.
It must be a specific request as to specific questions.
