asked the President of the Board of Education whether, seeing that the removal of the present disqualification for superannuation placed upon a woman teacher on the ground of marriage with an alien will not be retrospective, he will give an assurance that a woman teacher, at present in service and married to an alien, retiring after the Act takes effect, will be eligible for pension at the age of 60, provided she has served the necessary number of years of recognised service?

If the Teachers (Superannuation) Bill becomes law, a woman teacher who serves in contributory service after the 31st March, 1926, will not be debarred from eligibility for pension by reason of the fact that she is an alien by marriage.
