asked the Minister of Health whether he has received from local authorities representations as to the expense imposed upon applicants for old age pensions by demands for the production of birth and marriage certificates; and whether he has considered the possibility of closer inter-communication between registrars and pensions committees with a view of minimising expense to the applicants?
asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he is aware of the hardship caused to applicants for old age pensions by reason of their being required to pay the full fee for a, copy of their certificates of birth or marriage, and also in respect of a search for the same; and will he take into consideration the question of providing for the issue of such certificates to applicants for old age pensions free of cost or at a nominal charge?
