The First Committee which has been subdivided into two sub-committees:

  1. A. for (1) the determination of the means for the restoration of Russian credit in Great Britain; and (2) business and other civil claims (bonds and nationalised properties).
  2. B. for (1) inter-governmental debts, War debts and intervention claims; and (2) personal injury claims.

An intervention is when the MP making a speech is interrupted by another MP and asked to 'give way' to allow the other MP to intervene on the speech to ask a question or comment on what has just been said.
