The licence for the sale of refreshments in Kew Gardens does not expire until the 31st March, 1925, and I am not therefore in a position to review the arrangements at the present time. The difficulties in catering in an open-air establishment are very great, owing to the fluctuating demand due to the great variation in weather conditions, and I have every reason to believe that under such circumstances the service is satisfactory, and that, on the whole, the prices are reasonable.

Cannot the right hon. Gentleman find time to go down and sample this place himself? His predecessor some years ago did so, had a meal in the Pagoda Restaurant, and immediately resigned.
