asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will state the amount of Government War Stocks exchanged into the Three and a half per Cent. Conversion Loan since 1st April, 1923; and how much the nominal amount of the debt is increased and the saving of interest by conversion?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN:

There have been no conversions of Government War Stocks into 3½ per cent. Conversion Loan since 1st April, 1923.
